The vice president of Inter Milan, Javier Zanetti, stated that Lautaro Martínez will continue wearing the nerazzurri jersey. In an interview with ESPN, the former Argentine player also pointed out that his compatriot has been improving since his arrival in Italy.
"I see him happy at Inter, he identifies with the club. Barcelona? I see his future in the 'Nerazzurri,'" Zanetti said about the rumors of Martínez's possible departure to the Catalan club.
Furthermore, regarding Lautaro Martínez's evolution since his arrival at Inter Milan, Zanetti pointed out that the work with Antonio Conte is good. "He has improved a lot in the last year, thanks also to Conte's work. When he played in Argentina and we negotiated with Diego Milito, I remember how much we believed in him from the beginning," he added.
Martínez, 22, had expressed his interest in Barcelona, thinking about sharing the dressing room with Lionel Messi. "Who wouldn't want to play with Messi?" he said on one occasion.
