Henry Vaca, forward for Atlético Goianiense in Brazil, recalls his short stint at Universitario de Deportes and does not forget the affection of the fans. The Bolivian player in times of coronavirus acknowledged that he had little prominence and stated that he would like to return for his rematch.
"My experience at 'U' was very nice, since I went to the biggest club in Peru. It was very nice to go to a club with a lot of fans and responsibility, and someday I would like to return because I loved the club," he said.
Vaca arrived at Universitario as a reinforcement for the 2019 Clausura Tournament, when the club was fighting to avoid relegation. He had a great start; however, he was surprisingly no longer considered by coach Angel Comizzo.
"Peruvian football has grown a lot, it has great players. I was there for a short time, 6 months, we hope to return someday with more experience because I think I needed a little more to secure a starting position," he added.
Vaca, 22 years old, couldn't establish himself as a starter. He played eight games and did not score a single goal. His debut in Peruvian football was marked by an assist to Germán Denis in a match against Pirata FC in the Liga 1 Movistar.
