Last week, Alianza Lima players Joazhiño Arroé and Rinaldo Cruzado commented that the blanquiazul squad is willing to give up part of their salary to mitigate the club's economic problems due to the suspension of the Liga 1.
This afternoon, Carlos Beltrán, central defender of the 'blanquiazul' team, referred to this initiative and the situation they are in: "Yes, they mentioned something to us, the older players are discussing it and then they were going to inform us about it," he said on the program Fútbol Como Cancha.
He also argued that, from the squad's perspective, it is fair that this measure be taken: "I think we should lower our salary a bit, we're not going to training," added the Argentine, although he mentioned that the players continue to do exercise routines from home.
"They mentioned it to us but I still don't know how it will turn out, they are looking into it. Personally, if the discount is given, I would accept it because that way we all support each other," Beltrán explained.
As it is known, Liga 1 has been suspended since mid-March and there is still no approximate date for its resumption.
