The football players of Barcelona are complying with the confinement imposed throughout Spanish territory due to the spread of COVID-19. Those who did not travel to their home countries are staying in Catalonia, except for Danish player Martin Braithwaite, who had to move to his house in Madrid after the hotel where he was staying closed as a result of the coronavirus.
From his home, Braithwaite, who joined the team last February, shared how he is spending his days during social isolation and what he expects when football resumes.
"When this is over, it will be impressive, we will be hungry to play. We will have extra motivation. It will be like having a caged animal and letting it go," he said on the club's YouTube channel.
"I try not to lose my routine every day. I wake up at 8, have breakfast, start training at 9:30, and finish at 11:30. Then I eat something and spend time with my family," he explained about his daily routine.
In addition, the former Leganés forward stated that he is now following a very demanding personal training regimen. "I am training more now. When you do it individually, it is tougher than in a group," he said.
It is worth noting that Braithwaite was unable to participate in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Napoli because he could no longer be registered for that stage.
