Emre Can commits to Borussia Dortmund until 2024
The German international Emre Can, who was loaned by Juventus, has committed to Borussia Dortmund until 2024, announced the German club hours before the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain.
"Borussia Dortmund has reached an agreement with Juventus for a permanent transfer," informed the German club, specifying that the contract will come into effect "on July 1st, until June 30th, 2024."
The operation is valued at around 25 million euros.
According to Bild, the midfielder will go from earning 14 million euros per year to 8.5, a concession that Can is willing to accept in order to play regularly and have a chance to participate in the 2020 Euros with the German national team, something that would be difficult for him to achieve in Turin, where he was a regular substitute.
For Dortmund, this is the second significant signing in the January transfer window, following the acquisition of the 19-year-old Norwegian forward Erling Haaland for around 20 million euros.
