The celestes traveled to Tolima "for the feat" after the defeat in the first leg, but Jaminton Campaz took care of destroying the Ambato's illusion. The midfielder scored again (42 min) in Agustín Silva's goal, and as in Bellavista stadium, he gave the victory to his team at home.
"The game was defined individually and by the collective game of the opponent. We tried to leave with a good feeling because of how the team played, but we still lack depth and strength in the attack," said Vélez after the defeat.

The strategist said not to lose "confidence" in his group. "We know what we have (players) and a result will not make us think otherwise, we have the players for what we want in the local championship, maybe in the international one we lacked because of the results seen because it is always stronger in cups and that affects us, but I think it will be enough for us in the local championship," said Vélez.
"We still have the local tournaments (LigaPro and Copa Ecuador), we will try to do our best to reach the highest with Macará. The confidence of all the boys is there and we must continue improving in the team's adaptation," pointed out the strategist. (D)
