Hercules CF dismisses Mir, the third coach of the season for the club
On Tuesday, Hercules CF from Alicante in Group III of the Second Division B announced the dismissal of their coach Vicente Mir, following a statement after the team's defeat in the last match against Orihuela (1-0) and the team's poor performance.
Third coach of the season, Mir joined the club last December and in the nine matches he directed Hercules, eight in the league and one in the Copa del Rey, he only managed to achieve two victories.
The Valencia-born, who was in his second period at the club, failed to keep Hercules out of the relegation zone to the Third Division, which was the objective he was hired for. The team from Alicante is experiencing the worst season in its history.
The team acknowledges "the work and professionalism of Vicente Mir" shown since he took charge of the first team and wishes him "the best of luck in his future professional challenges".
The club has not yet officially announced the name of the next coach, but has announced that the president of Hercules, Quique Hernández, will speak to the media on Wednesday to inform about the sporting situation.
