The midfielder for Colombia, Jorge Carrascal, scored the second goal against Ecuador. The match for the second round of Group A in the Pre-Olympic U-23 is being played at the Centenario Stadium in Armenia.
In the 26th minute, Carrascal recovered the ball, ran the length of the field, and beat the Ecuadorian defense to position himself in front of the goalkeeper. The midfielder shot and defeated goalkeeper Wellington Ramírez to score the second goal of the match.
The first goal came in the 15th minute of the match with the hand of Nicolás Benedetti. The midfielder created a play in the Ecuadorian zone, passed the ball to Edwin Herrera, and then received the ball back to put it in Ecuador's goal. Colombia's third goal was scored by Edwuin Cetre in the 32nd minute, after a great assist from Carrascal in the opposing area.
Colombia is leading 3-0 against Ecuador in the second round of the Pre-Olympic U-23. The Colombians will face Venezuela in the fourth round after resting this weekend. Ecuador, on the other hand, will play against Venezuela on Friday, the 24th, in the third round.
