'Marca': Madrid closes the signing of Van de Beek, price equals market value
Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek will be a player for Real Madrid next season, today the sports daily Marca assures on its cover. Apparently, the agreement between both clubs is total and the transfer would cost 55 million euros, an amount identical to the market value of the young footballer.
This confirms the information published in December by the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that also considered the transfer of Ajax talent closed.
Real Madrid is willing to pay the more than 50 million euros that Ajax demands for the most valuable player in the Eredivisie. In addition, the Dutch club will keep Van de Beek until the end of the current season, as was their idea.
According to Marca, Ajax has rejected offers from Manchester United and Tottenham to sign the 22-year-old Dutch international. The player would have ruled out going to the London team after the arrival of José Mourinho.
