The Peruvian Edison Flores Joins DC United
Peruvian player Edison Flores, who was announced as the new player of DC United on Tuesday, January 14, used his Instagram account to say goodbye to the fans, directors, and teammates of Monarcas Morelia.
"The day has come! Eternal gratitude to all the Monarcas. To my teammates, coaching staff, equipment personnel, doctors, and management for the beautiful opportunity to share all this time with you. To the fans who supported me and the team through the good and bad times," said Oreja (Flores' nickname).
"I am leaving with peace of mind because I tried to give my best, even though sometimes it went well and others it didn't, but I fought and I felt like just another fan on the field. I leave behind many friends, but now it's time for me to live another experience. Thank you, I will continue to follow you from wherever I am. I wish you a great year and I wish you the best," he continued.
To the message, Edison Flores added a very touching video. We invite you to watch it above.
DC United, from the MLS, will be the fifth team in the sports career of 'Orejas' Flores.
