Indecopi authorizes Gremco to convoke a Creditors' Meeting session for Universitario de Deportes

The Insolvency Procedures Commission of Indecopi has authorized Gremco, the construction company, to convoke a Creditors' Meeting session for Universitario de Deportes. One of the topics to be addressed will be the assignment of a new administration.

This action responds to the request presented by Gremco last December, after the Fifth Chamber of the Superior Court of Lima resolved that it returns to be the main creditor of the crema club by validating credits that reach around US$28 million.

The document indicates that Raúl Leguía, appointed by the Sunat, must hand over the possession of the club crema within a maximum period of three days, as well as all the documents corresponding to the new administration of the institution.

Previously, the legal representative of Gremco announced that, in addition to assigning a new administration, the Creditors' Meeting will promote extending the deadlines of the restructuring plan for Universitario de Deportes, which expires in February.
