Chile's opponent in the quarterfinals of the Copa America has just been revealed

Jorge Sampaoli has started planning the match against Uruguay. Rather than intensifying Chile's strengths, the coach is concerned about the opponent's virtues.

The height difference, aerial game, and set pieces have the coach from Casilda worried about making every last detail of the Uruguayans known to his players.

In fact, since yesterday the strategist has been focusing on defensive set pieces: a center into the penalty area and the defenders clearing the ball over and over again.

Furthermore, part of the training sessions include simulated attacks down the flanks, which must be stopped without fouling. The plan is to avoid giving away free kicks and corners.

In that sense, Chile's possible line-up is gaining strength: the coach would repeat the starting eleven that thrashed Bolivia.

Claudio Bravo; Mauricio Isla, Gary Medel, Gonzalo Jara; Jean Beausejour; Marcelo Díaz, Charles Aránguiz, Arturo Vidal; Alexis Sánchez, Jorge Valdivia, and Eduardo Vargas are likely to start against Uruguay.

The doubt is whether to keep Beausejour as left-back or to play Eugenio Mena, who is more defensively inclined than the Colo Colo winger. Sampaoli has two days to decide.
