The Argentine forward Ángel Correa was the executioner of Barcelona by scoring the 3-2 for Atlético de Madrid against the Azulgrana team in the semifinals of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
In the 87th minute, Correa led a 'colchonero' counterattack and after a face-to-face with Neto, converted the third goal for Diego Simeone's team to qualify for the final of the competition.
Barcelona managed to reverse Koke's goal and was winning 2-1. They even had two goals disallowed due to VAR intervention. However, Ernesto Valverde's team let their guard down and unbelievably lost their advantage in the last minutes of the match.
Thus, Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid will play the final of the Spanish Super Cup. The game will take place on January 12th at 1:00 pm (Peruvian time) at the King Abdullah Sports City.
