After Miguel Santiváñez was not scheduled to be the main referee at Matute, Argentine Patricio Loustau was appointed as his replacement to lead the match. Alianza Lima coach Pablo Bengoechea referred to this decision as an improvisation.
"It seems like the same improvisation, more of the same. We keep improvising," Bengoechea declared in a press conference, clarifying that he did not want to touch on the subject of referees any further to avoid generating controversy.
On the other hand, he referred to the method that Alianza Lima will use to turn the score around. "The players are the same, there won't be much difference from before. If we score a goal at five minutes, at five minutes and 30 we will look for the second one. We will try to play the full 90 minutes at the same pace after the first goal. We will keep going from minute one with everything we've got to try to reduce the deficit," he added.
Alianza Lima and Deportivo Binacional will face each other on Sunday, December 15th at 3:30 p.m. at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium in Matute. The blanquiazules are obligated to score at least three goals and not concede any if they want to win the national title.
