MONTERREY -- Chilean forward Eduardo Vargas will miss the remainder of the regular phase of the Apertura 2019 Tournament, due to the injury he suffered last weekend against Querétaro White Roosters.
"Chilean player suffers a grade one fibrillary tear in the right posterior thigh. Recovery prognosis is 15 days," the team reported in a brief statement.
Vargas suffered the physical problem in the match of matchday 17 of the current tournament, which forced him to leave the game played at the La Corregidora stadium.

The club conducted medical tests on the South American player on Monday, who will now have to undergo the corresponding recovery process and will therefore miss the last two matches.
The felines will face Pachuca Tuzos this weekend in the eighteenth round, while in the final round they will face FC Juárez.
