Paul Cominges

Paul Cominges was presented this morning as the new coach of Cienciano del Cusco. In a press conference at the Swiss Peru offices, the 40-year-old coach thanked the imperial club for the opportunity.

"I thank Cienciano for their trust. I am happy to return to the club," said Cominges, accompanied by Sergio Ludueña, the new club administrator, who is committed to avoiding relegation after the Peruvian Football Federation confirmed the loss of six points.

Paulo Cominges, who has coached Sport Boys in the Second Division for the past two years, was chosen among other possibilities to be the head coach.

"Once again, Cienciano opens the doors for me to start a career. They did it as a player, and now as a coach," said the former footballer.

Cominges, after playing for Universitario between 1993 and 1994, signed a contract with Cienciano in 1995. He played there until 1996. He returned to the imperial team in 2000 after his stint in Greek and Salvadoran football.

The contract of Paul Cominges with Cienciano is for the entire 2016.
