Atyrá Football Club
Atyrá is experiencing a strong crisis that is somewhat inexplicable in the Intermedia category, where they are currently in fourth place with 47 points, just 3 points away from the promotion zone to the First Division after their recent 2-3 defeat against Fernando de la Mora at home over the weekend.
President's Decision
The club president, Rubén Deggeller, was upset after the loss to Fernando de la Mora and made the decision to separate four players (Federico Giménez, Diego Escobar, Marcelo Cáceres, and Robert Aldama) from the squad due to alleged poor performance.
Support from the Team
The team showed up for training on Tuesday morning, and upon learning of the president's decision, the players and coaching staff, led by Ángel Martínez, took a firm stance in support of their teammates.
Precarious Situation
Deggeller appeared at the end of the training session and in a tense atmosphere expressed that everyone is now out of Atyrá Club for standing in solidarity with these four players.
Fight for Promotion
The team, which had the main goal of staying in the category, has been fighting for promotion to the First Division in recent matches. The current top four positions are as follows: Guaireña with 53 points, 12 de Octubre de Itauguá with 50 points, 2 de Mayo de PJC with 48 points, and Atyrá with 47 points. The top two teams will be promoted, and there are still 3 matches left to play.
