The Fuenlabrada is protagonizing a fairytale story in the silver category of the king sport in Spain

After sensationally rising from the Second Division B, the southern team from the capital of our country wants to make an authentic miracle and take a step further in their sports career: becoming part of the prestigious LaLiga Santander.

Baldomero Hermoso Herrera, known as 'Mere' in sports, is one of the main figures behind Fuenlabrada's success in Segunda

The Madrid team has clearly defeated Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, despite finishing the game with a numerical disadvantage (Alexander Vallejo's expulsion). Hugo Fraile's brace, both from the penalty spot, and Randy Nteka's goal have made Jonathan Viera's consolation goal a mere anecdote.

Leaving aside Cádiz, who remains at the top of the standings (31 points), despite their stumble against Albacete Balompié, Fuenlabrada is tied in second place with Almería with 23 points, one more than Huesca and the Manchego team (22). On the other hand, Rayo Vallecano, who gave in to Ponferradina at home, closes the playoff positions for promotion to LaLiga with 19 points (tied with Real Zaragoza).

The next game on the calendar for Fuenlabrada will be on Saturday, November 2nd, starting at 16:00, at Estadio Fernando Torres, where they will face the last-place team in the league: Deportivo de la Coruña. 'Mere' and his team aim to continue their positive momentum while trying to worsen the crisis of results that the Galician squad has been experiencing.
