Necessary changes were needed for Alianza Lima to seek victory in the match. Pablo Bengoechea sent Joazhiño Arroé onto the field and the midfielder responded by scoring the winning goal after a great play by Kevin Quevedo, who left two rivals behind to set up 'Joa'.
"When you come in, you always aim to change the game, you have that in your mind. I received a great pass from Kevin Quevedo. I marked the space so he could pass it to me and be one-on-one with the goalkeeper," explained Joazhiño Arroé in an interview with Gol Perú.
With the victory, Alianza Lima is the new leader of the Torneo Clausura, taking advantage of the draws of Universitario and Sporting Cristal. "We deserve to be on top, we have the weapons to win the Torneo Clausura. We dropped some easy points, so we need to be very intelligent to become champions," added Arroé.
Joazhiño Arroé scored his fourth goal wearing the Alianza Lima jersey this season. This is his second spell with the team. He signed with the La Victoria team in 2019 after a great year playing for Sport Boys.
