Tarik Antonio Mebarak, nephew of singer Shakira, is the latest signing of Andorra FC, the team owned by Barcelona player and current partner of the Colombian artist Gerard Piqué, in whose reserve team he has already made his debut.
The 19-year-old player made his debut last Sunday with the second team of the club from the Principality, which plays in the fourth Catalan division, the last category of regional football. The team led by Carlos Sánchez, better known as 'El Maño', defeated Rialp 4-1 with Tarik Antoni Mebarak as a starter, playing 90 minutes.
Shakira's nephew, who is the son of one of the singer's brothers -Tonino- was without a team and had previously played in the lower categories of Atlético Junior de Barranquilla and also in Santa Fe de Bogotá.
He also trained in teams from Spain and the United States, where he was at the Miami Soccer Club's school, directed by Argentine Alejandro Waigandt, a FIFA coach and fitness trainer.
From a very young age, Tarik has shared his passion for football with Gerard Piqué and dreams of being like the FC Barcelona defender and now the owner of the club from the Principality.
