It all started from the back. Joao Villamarín completed a play that was built up from the 'Tricolor' area, scoring a fantastic goal to equalize 2-2 in the Alianza Lima vs. Mannucci match. Both teams face each other at Alejandro Villanueva stadium, for matchday 12 of the Clausura Tournament.
Two minutes into the second half, Mannucci recovered the ball near their area, in search of a quick counterattack. After the ball traveled almost the entire field in six touches, Villamarín provided the final shot to level the score and silence Matute.

Alianza Lima is three points away from consolidating as the leader of the Clausura Tournament. Pablo Bengoechea knows that there are only a few matches left to be played, but he is determined to win each one of them in order to secure their place in the fight for the national title. For this match, Kevin Quevedo was left out of the squad.
The next matches for Alianza Lima and 'Tricolor' will take place on Sunday, October 27. The former will have to travel to Arequipa to face Melgar at UNSA Monumental. Meanwhile, Carlos A. Mannucci will return to Trujillo to host Sport Boys.
