"The colors of the host countries, Argentina and Colombia, along with references to the unity of the continent and its football fans, the field and the sun, are the protagonists of the image of the CONMEBOL Copa America 2020," the Conmebol presented the official logo of the next continental tournament.
Through its social media channels, the maximum entity of South American football revealed the design of the Copa America 2020 that will take place in Argentina and Colombia, between June 10 and July 8.
The continental tournament will be grouped into two zones: Argentina (Southern Zone) and Colombia (Northern Zone)
- Northern Zone: Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru, plus one of the invited selections.
- Southern Zone: Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, and an invited team.
The opening match of the Copa America will be played in Argentine territory. La Albiceleste will be one of the protagonists. The venue for the match has not yet been defined, but it will be chosen from La Bombonera and Cilindro de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires; Mario Alberto Kempes in Córdoba, Malvinas Argentina in Mendoza, and Bicentenario de San Juan.
The draw for the schedule of the Copa America 2020 will take place on December 3 in Cartagena.
