Do you use Google Maps to guide yourself home? The app can download too much data on your way back. Here's how you can help yourself save on data usage.

The sensational trick to not run out of data. Google Maps is the preferred application for people who like to navigate using the directions provided by the map in an easy and fast way. Users use the app to know streets, the closest places for fun, among other things.

Thanks to Google Maps, you can visit different places, and even, thanks to its Street View feature, you can visualize all the avenues and streets as if you were walking there.

But as it is a reference to guide yourself, there is a concern. Do you know how many data you consume just by opening the application and wandering around different places?

Regarding data consumption, it is estimated that 6 MB are consumed in a period of 10 minutes. This represents an average consumption of 20 MB for half an hour and 38 MB for a complete hour of use.

But there is a method to save all those data. To do this, you simply have to download the map, for example, of your city. Follow these steps:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app.
Make sure you are connected to the internet and access Google Maps.
Search for a place, like Rosario. At the bottom, press the name or address of the place and then Download. If you searched for a place like a restaurant, press More and then Download offline map.
