Alliance Lima will host Pirate FC this Saturday, for matchday 10 of the Clausura Tournament. The corsairs know they must earn as many points as possible to avoid relegation, so they are determined to fight, despite the fact that the match will not be easy, as it will be on Alliance's home turf.
"We want to come back with the three points because we need them. We won't go to Matute to defend ourselves, but to propose. The club's goal is to avoid relegation and we will do everything to achieve it. Despite the problems, the goal is to beat Alliance in their stadium," said Franco Echeandía, Pirate FC defender, to Ovación.
The Lambayeque team is not going through its best moments. Recently, the players went on strike due to non-payment, which greatly affected their preparation this week.
"The board has promised my teammates to solve the financial problems. As for me, I don't owe anything to the club. Now the group is united, the entire squad will travel to Lima to face Alliance," he explained to the radio station.
Finally, the defender confessed that he is a fan of Alliance, but that won't prevent him from seeking victory for his club. "I'm a blanquiazul fan, like my whole family, but now I owe myself to my club. If I score a goal against Alliance, I will celebrate it. We're worried about the whole rival team because they have hierarchy," he concluded.
