After four consecutive games without losing, Valencia, led by Albert Celades, fell 3-0 on Wednesday at Mestalla against Ajax Amsterdam in the second match of Group H of the Champions League, a result that relegates the 'che' team to third place in the group.
The Moroccan Hakim Ziyech put the Dutch team ahead (8), semifinalist in the last edition of the Champions League, and the Dutchman Quincy Promes scored the second goal (34), before Donny van de Beek sealed the victory in the 67th minute.
The 'che' team, which suffered its second defeat since Albert Celades took over as coach from Marcelino, remains with three points, compared to the six of Ajax.
