MEXICO -- The coach of América, Miguel Herrera, informed that Antonio 'Pollo' Briseño has already had communication with Giovani dos Santos and considers that the foul he committed was not intentional, but reckless. "The thing is that Briseño is a guy with a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of determination, who takes risks in every play; it's the passion with which he lives football; that's why I say it was not intentional, but reckless."
He points out that if the Chivas defender were a different way "we would demonize him, but he has that impetus in every play and sometimes he takes that excessive impetus. Yesterday I didn't want to talk about the play, because I hadn't seen it; but I've seen it several times now and I think it was reckless, with excessive force."
And the coach ruled out that Briseño went after the player with the intention of injuring him; however, he doesn't know if the America management will request the defender's disqualification, because he is part of the coaching staff and it's not his decision to make.
The strategist added that when you see someone with malicious intent, apologies don't come in handy and in this case "Gio told me that Briseño sent him a message; they have already exchanged phrases and comments and that's the most important thing."

"I see him animated, happy, very positive. The recovery time (around six weeks) is not important. The important thing is for him to recover."
