Unbelievable. Jesus Alvarez, former football player and coach, stopped being the coach of José Gálvez after four days in charge. What happened for him to last less than a week?
Apparently, the team was caught attending a party after their recent home defeat against Sport Áncash (0-1) in the Copa Perú. This behavior did not please the former Sport Boys coach, and he decided to step down.
Through a statement, José Gálvez club informed through its social networks that Alvarez resigned due to "lack of commitment from the team", who were caught in a nightclub in the city.
On his part, the coach posted on his Twitter the message: "Discipline is non-negotiable," making clear the reasons for the decision made on September 23.
So far, the team from Chimbote is on the verge of being eliminated from the Copa Perú 2019 after accumulating two defeats in three matches. For now, their coach will continue to be Edwin Herrera.
