The line judge Milan Sefara was caught in an apparent state of drunkenness while trying to referee a youth match in the Czech Republic. The referee ended up on the ground trying to run while following a play along the sideline.
One of the assistants in the match between the teams Beroun and Slany recorded the judge as he staggered on the line. The referee, after the fall and a few seconds on the field, got up and continued walking strangely during the match.
After falling, the assistants approached Sefara to ask if he was okay. The judge ignored them and tried to continue refereeing the youth match, even though they tried to remove him from the game due to his condition.
In the Czech Republic, the possibility that he was actually intoxicated is being studied. The Central Bohemian Regional Football Association is investigating the incident and if it is proven that Milan Sefara was under the influence of alcohol, he will receive a strong sanction.
