Olimpia rescues a draw against Guaraní
Three minutes before the end of regulation time, Olimpia couldn't find the opponent's goal. After several clear goal opportunities, some wasted due to poor resolution and others due to the fair intervention of an opponent, Néstor Camacho's left-foot shot appeared to rescue a point that could be crucial in the long run.
"Personally, I'm very happy for the goal. It is a motivation to continue striving for my best level. In team terms, I'm pleased to help the team in a difficult moment. We were creating many chances, but we were struggling to find the goal. I think it came in the least expected way (from a throw-in), but it served to earn an important point against a direct rival," said Camacho.
RATIFIES. In an interview with La Sobremesa del Fútbol, Monumental 1.080 AM, Olimpia's vice president, Pedro Balotta, stated: "Why should I regret what I said (the football pitches in our country look like fields)? I reaffirm it and say more. Clubs should invest in infrastructure with what they receive."
Regarding the game against Guaraní, the Olimpia official made it clear that "playing on a less-than-ideal field, getting a draw is a great result."
