Ricardo Gareca is already preparing his list of call-ups for the matches that will be played in Montevideo and Lima in the month of October. Will the 'Predator' be included?

The Peruvian National Team will face Uruguay in the upcoming October FIFA date (Montevideo and Lima). In that context, the Videna has already started the work plan to face these commitments. Ricardo Gareca will make his list of call-ups and many are wondering about the possible inclusion of Paolo Guerrero.

The forward asked not to be called up for the friendlies against Ecuador and Brazil's national team to play the Copa America. So, the question is whether this request from Paolo Guerrero will have consequences in the next call-up by the 'Tigre'.

In the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) there is annoyance from some directors (due to the request made by Paolo Guerrero) and the possibility of excluding him from the list is being considered. But Depor learned that Ricardo Gareca will include him for several reasons.

It is known that the coach has a weakness for the style of play of the Internacional de Porto Alegre striker. Also, Paolo Guerrero is one of his references and a key piece in the starting eleven.

The coach of the Peruvian National Team clarified, in a press conference, that he did not speak in a threatening tone against Paolo Guerrero when he stated that the players will have to face the consequences of their constant requests to be excluded from the national team call-ups.

"The issue with Paolo Guerrero did not generate any annoyance for me. There was a lot of talk and my statements could have been interpreted in a certain way but, no, we would never allow ourselves to get upset with any of the guys because all we want from them is to give their best," said the coach in the United States before facing Ecuador.

"In one moment, I was asked what would happen if this becomes repetitive and I said that each one will have to face the consequences because we have to take care of the health of the Peruvian National Team, but it was not at all in a threatening tone," added the coach.

Juan Carlos Oblitas, sports director of the FPF, initially stated that Paolo Guerrero made a mistake. "It is not a matter of indiscipline, it's a mistake. When you make a decision like this (asking not to be called up), you have to wait a while to see if it was the right decision or not. Paolo will realize that later on."
