The Dudley Boyz are still in demand by the media, although Bubba Ray Dudley is usually the more requested of the two because he is more talkative, in contrast with D-Von Dudley, who is very reserved.
We recently transcribed a question and answer session that Bubba himself organized on Twitter, and there the topic of his girlfriend Velvet Sky came up and the possibility of seeing her in WWE. The topic was discussed again in an interview conducted by Channel Guide Magazine, where they first asked him about the WWE of the past and the current one:
"The only difference now, really, is that the guys are much younger than D-Von and me and they came into this business in different ways.
"During the Attitude Era, there were guys who came in the old-school style, who were able to go out and do whatever they wanted to ignite the crowd. That is the opposite of what they do now, because creatively WWE has much more presence and wants its wrestlers to do their job in a certain way. But as far as how the locker room works and the chemistry within it, it's phenomenal. It has been a positive experience.
"But whether we are in a PG era, in an X-rated era, or in the Attitude Era, everything is fine. In wrestling, you play with the hand you were dealt from the deck of cards, and that is one of the things that D-Von and I are proud of: With whatever hand we are dealt, we will play to the best of our abilities. So if we have to go out and be PG, that's fine. We don't own the company; Vince is the owner. And if he wants the company to be PG, that's fine. We will be PG. It is very simple."
— In the past, the Dudley Boyz had the beautiful Stacy Keibler reigning as the Duchess of Dudleyville. Will we see another woman in the family?
— It is no secret that Velvet Sky and I are together. If you go on Twitter, it seems like the whole Twitterverse likes to say that. She is probably the most popular female wrestler who has never been in WWE. She looks phenomenal. I think the fans and the WWE Universe would love to see her in a WWE ring. Who knows, maybe someday it will happen.
