Lionel Messi was away from the playing field for several weeks at Barcelona due to an injury to his right soleus. The Argentine forward saw his team achieve irregular results in LaLiga Santander, although he returned to the field last Tuesday against Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park for Matchday 1 of the Champions League 2019 Group F. 'Leo' came on in the second half for the young Ansu Fati.

As soon as he entered the field with Barcelona, Lionel Messi scared the Dortmund players. Several players marked him, including the skillful Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel. He posted a picture with the Argentine international from the Argentine national team on his Twitter account, which quickly went viral.

"The only way to stop Messi", that's what Witsel wrote in relation to the 'Barza' forward alongside a photo. In the picture, you can see the Rosario forward being marked by up to three opponents, including the Belgian international. What he posted on social media quickly gained thousands of likes and dozens of comments.

Some of the users who commented on the photo posted images of when 'Leo' was marked by five opponents in the semifinals of last season against Liverpool at Anfield. Others told him to do the same as Andrew Robertson, who was tough in marking him less than six months ago.

On the other hand, after the 1-1 draw in the Champions League, Barcelona and Lionel Messi set their sights on Matchday 5 of LaLiga Santander. This Saturday, the team led by Ernesto Valverde will face Granada. In the last match, they defeated Valencia 5-2.
