Aldo Bobadilla resigned on Wednesday as the technical director of Nacional to coach Independiente Medellín, a club that plays in the First Division of Colombia.
"The decision surprised me, it surprised all of us actually," said Juan Carlos Galeano in a conversation with Fútbol a lo Grande on Monumental 1080 AM.
"We are in a difficult situation, but these are personal matters and we have to respect that," added the club's president when asked about the professional's departure.
Bobadilla coached in 24 games, achieved 7 victories, 11 draws, and suffered 6 defeats. The coach left the team in eighth position in the local tournament, with nine points earned in 8 appearances in the 2019 Clausura championship.
His future will be on the bench of Independiente Medellín, a club where he played as a player between 2007-2010. He played a total of 136 matches with the Mighty of the Mountain. This will be his first international experience as a coach.
