Martes 27 de Agosto del 2019

The Uruguayan attacker of the íntimo team spoke about the playing style of the Alianza Lima coach.

On several occasions, Pablo Bengoechea has been criticized for his playing style with Alianza Lima as, for many, the coach relied too much on long balls and did not respect the traditional way of playing by the club.

Uruguayan forward Felipe Rodríguez spoke on FOX Sports Radio Peru, praising the playing style of 'Profe' and explaining its purpose.

"Every game is different, you have to read them and Pablo Bengoechea is a coach who knows a lot, he is very clever as we say in Uruguay, and he knows the opponents", said Rodríguez.

"Week after week, when we train thinking about a different opponent, he asks us for certain things. Sometimes playing on the ground, sometimes short passes, other times long ones. Maybe if the pitch is not in good condition, try to spread the field with the full-backs. He has a lot of good options and everyone in the squad feels very good about it," the player continued.

It is worth mentioning that the last match played by Alianza Lima in the Liga 1 ended with a 3-2 victory, with Kevin Quevedo scoring a hat trick. The next match for the club is against Deportivo Municipal and will take place at the Mansiche stadium on Sunday, September 1st at 4:00 p.m.
