Universitario de Deportes suffered a tough defeat this Sunday against Carlos A. Mannucci, in the fourth round of the Torneo Clausura. This caused discomfort to Ángel Comizzo, who declared in a press conference after the match for the Liga 1.
Ángel Comizzo revealed that he was aware of the quality of the opponent they were facing. He also highlighted the performance of Universitario in the second half, despite losing 1-0 in the last minute of the match in Trujillo.
"The opponent was going to propose a game like this, physical due to the quality of players they have. A tough team, a team that is in a complicated situation. The team created the best chances in both the first and second half. In the second half, we played much better," Comizzo said in a press conference.
Likewise, the Argentine coach avoided talking about Germán Denis' recent departure to play in Serie C in Italy and trusts in turning the page with Universitario and seeking the season's title with the players who are in the squad.
