About the Parapan American Games 2019
Just a few days before the start of the Parapan American Games 2019, Wong Supermarkets joins this great sports event by promoting the dreams and extraordinary stories of four para-athletes who will proudly wear the colors of our country in various competitions.
They are:
1. Carlos Felipa, sixth in the world ranking of para-athletes in shot put (CAT F63). First in the Pan American ranking of para-athletes in shot put.
2. Dunia Felices, triple gold medalist at the National Paralympic Open Championships in Barranquilla (2018) in 50 meters freestyle, butterfly, and 100 meters freestyle.
3. Pilar Jáuregui, gold medalist at the Uganda Parabadminton International (2019) in singles and doubles. Triple gold medalist in singles, mixed doubles, and women's doubles at the South American Parabadminton Championships (2018). Ambassador of the Parapan American Games 2019.
4. Luis Miguel Sandoval, double silver medalist in 1500 and 5000 meters on the flat at the National Open Championships in Barranquilla (2018). Bronze medalist in 5000 meters on the flat at the Grand Prix Brazil. Ambassador of the Parapan American Games 2019.

It should be remembered that a total of 1890 para-athletes from 33 countries are gathering in our city from August 23 to September 1, to compete in 17 sports and 18 disciplines of this event that also allows direct qualification to the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
