Former England defender Ashley Cole has plans to venture into football coaching after announcing his retirement from the pitch.
Cole won 13 titles during his 20-year career, including the 2012 Champions League with Chelsea, three English Premier League championships, and seven FA Cup trophies.
The 38-year-old Cole, who also played 107 games for the English national team, announced his retirement on Sunday while working as a commentator for the British broadcaster Sky Sports.
"After thinking about it and considering it carefully, it was obviously time to hang up my boots and look towards my next chapter, which I hope will be in coaching. For now, I am taking a course," Cole said. "Now I want to be excellent as a coach."
