Efe has learned that Raúl has several interesting future offers, including one from the Spanish Professional Football League, which aims to expand La Liga's image in the United States with Raúl as an iconic figure, not only commercially, but also with executive functions.

"When I signed for Cosmos in December, I said I would evaluate my continuity based on how I felt," says the captain of Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. Raúl's agent, Ginés Carvajal, told Efe that Raúl will continue to live in New York for the time being.

"It hasn't been easy to make this decision, but it's the right time. Now all my focus is on helping Cosmos win the championship. I want to thank everyone who has helped me in my sports career and especially the Cosmos fans, who have welcomed and supported me with affection and love since I arrived in New York," emphasizes Raúl.

Giovanni Savarese, on behalf of Cosmos, said after learning of Raúl's decision that the Madrid player "is one of the most symbolic footballers in the world. I said at his presentation that he would bring us knowledge, passion, professionalism and he has completely fulfilled all our expectations," emphasized Savarese.

"In less than a year, Raúl has become an important part of our club and the Cosmos family," noted the New York club executive.

played for 16 years at Real Madrid, made his debut at 17 for the first team against Real Zaragoza at La Romareda stadium, and won six leagues, 4 Super Cups, three UEFA Champions Leagues, among many other titles with Real Madrid.

In 2010 he signed for Schalke 04, won a German Cup title, and led the Gelsenkirchen club to play in the Champions League. Later, he played in Qatar, where he signed for Al Saad in Doha and helped design the successful Aspire Academy youth system before traveling to New York and playing the last stretch with Cosmos.
