The Spanish Aritz Aduriz scored the only goal of the match between Barcelona and Athletic de Bilbao for the first match of the Spanish League. The player for the 'Leones' team scored the goal in the 88th minute of the match.
The 39-year-old striker received a great cross inside Barcelona's area from Ander Capa. Aduriz saw the ball and hit it with a right-footed scissor kick that ended up in the net of Barcelona's goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen.
Barcelona's clearest chance came with a shot from Luis Suárez in the 32nd minute of the match. The Uruguayan took advantage of a bad play by Athletic Bilbao's defense and found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Unai Simón, but his shot hit the post and he couldn't score the first goal.
Barcelona lost 1-0 in their debut against Athletic de Bilbao for the first match of LaLiga. The Barcelona team will face Betis on Sunday, August 25, while the 'Leones' will face Getafe.
