Mexican Women's Basketball Team Wins World Championship

In Finland, the Mexican women's basketball team for seniors won the world championship in the XV Fimba World Maxibasketball Championship in the over 65 category.

The team consisted of ten athletes from the city of Chihuahua, under the leadership of coach Violeta García. A total of 263 teams from 41 countries participated in the championship.

García also highlighted the effort and hard work of everyone to reach and win the world championship. "Because of our performance and determination, the committee decided to crown us world champions in the 65 and over category," she said.
