It seems that the swap between Juventus and Manchester United will not come to fruition after all. The economic demands of both parties are too high, so the negotiations, according to information from Italian and British media, would have broken between 2 historic clubs of the Old Continent.

The exchange was initially going to involve Romelu Lukaku landing at the Vecchia Signora, while Paulo Dybala would head to Old Trafford. However, a few hours ago, the name of Mario Mandžukić emerged to land at the 'Red Devils'. Anyway, it feels like all the pieces, at least for now, will remain in their respective clubs.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, BBC, and The Telegraph, Juventus and United have not been able to reach an agreement that would be satisfactory for both the clubs and the players involved in the operation. That is why the negotiations would have definitively broken down, in what could have been one of the biggest moves of the summer.

We will have to wait and see what finally happens with Lukaku, who has been on the agenda of 2 of the giants of Serie A: Inter Milan and Juventus. Napoli was also interested in the Belgian, but the striker didn't seem convinced with that possibility. On the other hand, Dybala has been linked on more than one occasion with PSG, while the Croatian has a market in Europe.

Il #ManchesterUnited has said stop to #Juve. The swap between #Dybala and #Lukaku has fallen through. And now the focus is on the Belgian for #Inter
