Kevin Quevedo scored the first goal of the match in the 15th minute, however, the score could have been leveled again in the 27th minute if it hadn't been for Carlos Cáceda's brilliant save against the visiting team's shot.

The Peru U23 National Team led by Nolberto Solano is defining its place in the second largest multidisciplinary sporting event in the world with the aim of winning the gold medal in its category in this match.
It is worth mentioning that the 'bicolor' comes to this match after a loss against Uruguay, while Honduras defeated Jamaica in the first round. Peru needs a victory to stay in the competition.
