Clear things up. After confirming his transfer on loan to Wolverhampton, the former Real Madrid defender, Jesús Vallejo, talked about his new adventure in the Premier League, thanked for the trust and assured that he will fight to earn a spot next season. However, despite his departure from the Santiago Bernabéu, the Spanish center-back did not hide his desire to return to his beloved club as soon as possible.
"Hopefully I will be wearing the Real Madrid shirt again next season," was Jesús Vallejo's wish upon his arrival in England as a new player of Wolverhampton. Likewise, the Spaniard expressed his gratitude for the welcome from his new club. "Thank you very much to the Wolves for this opportunity and to the fans for this warm welcome," he concluded.
The 'Wolves' agreed with Real Madrid the loan for one year, until June 30, 2020, of the defender who became U21 European champion with the Spanish national team this summer. This will be the third loan for the Aragonese center-back since he became a 'Merengue' player, with whom he extended his contract until 2025.
After his signing with Real Madrid, he spent one season in his previous club, Real Zaragoza. In the 2016/17 season, he played on loan for the German side Eintracht. Last season, he played 19 matches with Real Madrid. And now, in England, he will share dressing room with Spanish international Jonny Otto, with whom he coincided in the U21 national team.
