Already done. Real Madrid announced this Saturday that the young Spanish center-back Jesús Vallejo, 22 years old, will play next season on loan at Wolverhampton in the Premier League. With tough competition like Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, and recent signing Éder Militao at the 'Casa Blanca', the defender chose to leave the Santiago Bernabéu.
The 'Wolves' agreed with Real Madrid on the one-year loan of Jesús Vallejo until June 30, 2020. The defender, who won the U21 European Championship with the Spanish National Team this summer, will experience his third loan since joining Madrid. After his signing by Real Madrid, he spent a season at his previous club, Real Zaragoza. In the 2016/17 season, Vallejo played on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Last season, he played 19 games with Madrid. In England, he will share the locker room with Spanish international Jonny Otto, with whom he coincided in the U21 national team.
On the other hand, Real Madrid suffered a resounding 7-3 defeat against Atlético in the International Champions Cup. Diego Costa scored four goals but was sent off for a fight with Dani Carvajal.
