A few days before the start of the Pan American Games Lima 2019, the President of the Republic, Martin Vizcarra, visited and inspected the Pan American Village located in the district of Villa el Salvador.
During his visit, President Vizcarra spoke with some of the national and international athletes staying at the place. He also encouraged them to give their best effort in the competitions.
Vizcarra also stated that this "demonstrates that when Peru sets goals, no matter how high they may seem, if we do it together, we achieve them." He did not miss the opportunity to congratulate the organizers for being meticulous in every detail with the athletes.
