TV cameras captured the goalkeeper of the Venezuelan team up close and it was evident that he was carrying a few extra kilograms, something striking for a high-performance athlete. In one scene, Morales quenched his thirst in the 31° temperature in Maracaibo.

José Morales, 41 years old and in his second season with Zulia, watched from his area as his team scored the opening goal of the match. Frank Feltscher (60') broke the deadlock at the José Encarnación Romero Stadium.
