Atletico Madrid is determined to assemble a competitive team to compete for important things next season. This Wednesday, the red and white club officially announced the arrival of Englishman Kieran Trippier, who comes from Tottenham.
"The English player, 28 years old, signs for the next three seasons," Atletico Madrid said in a statement. According to the Spanish press, his transfer was completed for almost 30 million euros.
The right-back has come to prominence last season with Tottenham, reaching the final of the Champions League. In addition, he has established himself in the starting lineup of the England national team.
"Trippier is a versatile full-back who can even play in midfield. One of his great virtues is his ball striking, which makes him a very dangerous player in set-piece plays for the opposing team," his new team described him.
