The Uruguayan forward Federico Rodríguez arrived in Peru on Monday to wear the shirt of Alianza Lima. He comes at the express request of coach Pablo Bengoechea.
"Alianza Lima is a great team in America. I will give my best to help achieve the objectives," said the Uruguayan at Jorge Chávez International Airport.

Federico Rodríguez knows that his compatriot Mauricio Affonso, who left for South Africa's football due to a millionaire offer, had an outstanding performance during his time at Matute and now he hopes to leave his own mark in La Victoria with goals.
"Mauricio Affonso set the bar high, but I want to do things well. The first objectives are collective and then personal, but I will try to contribute my best to the team," he said.
Rodríguez also assured that he is in top physical shape and hopes to be considered for the match against Sporting Cristal, this weekend, for the second round of the Clausura Tournament.
The Uruguayan striker will undergo medical examinations, sign his one-year contract, and will be officially presented. Then, he will be under the orders of coach Pablo Bengoechea.
Federico Rodríguez, 28 years old, comes from playing in Danubio in Uruguay and has experience in Swiss football (Lugano) and in Italy (Genoa, Bologna, and Piacenza). He also played for the Uruguayan U20 national team, participating in the South American U20 Championship in 2011.
