The Nintendo Switch Lite is a reality. The leaks of the Japanese mini console came several weeks before its official presentation, even the company denied that it was working on this project. Well, now it is known that they were planning a smaller version for the Switch.
They made the announcement of the new console through YouTube, gathering gamers from all over the world. As explained, it is a version dedicated to portability, since it will not be possible to connect to the "Dock" of its larger version.
Price and features of the Nintendo Switch Lite:
The Lite alternative of the Switch will arrive with a price reduction of $100; in other words, it will have a base cost of $200. Unfortunately, as we mentioned, it will not be possible to connect to the "Dock", this option is simply sacrificed.
The two "Joy-Cons" are integrated into the console and the IR Motion Camera and HD Rumble technology have been removed. Nintendo recommends buying another pair of controllers to play some multiplayer mode games like "1, 2, Switch".
Now you should check the games compatible with the mini console before buying, as certain elements of the larger version are removed.
Release date of the Nintendo Switch Lite:
The Nintendo Switch Lite will be officially released in Japan on September 20, 2019. As usual, it will arrive in Peru a little later and with a higher price due to shipping costs. Does this mean that the normal Switch will drop in price?
We will see in the coming months how the Japanese company plans to maintain two consoles in the market.
