PSG continues with its reinforcements plan for the next season, in which coach Thomas Tuchel wants to prioritize and 'protect' the midfield, and thus avoid all the responsibility, and success of the team, falling on one or two players. Neymar's departure facilitates the project that the Parisian team has in mind, which has its eye on one of Zidane's 'outcasts' in Real Madrid.
According to the media outlet 'Le10sport', Lucas Vázquez is one of those who could be free at the Bernabeu in this transfer window. Zidane does count on him, but he has very few chances of being a starter. He is, rather, a reliable substitute.
However, that role would not fully satisfy Lucas, who returned to Madrid for the 2015-16 season at the request of Rafa Benítez. The Galician gradually earned a place in the squad and in Zidane's first period as coach of the 'whites', he reached his best level. He even took the first penalty in the shoot-out against Atlético Madrid in Milan, in the 'Undécima'.
But the last season was not the best for him. In fact, it was not good for Real Madrid as a whole, but between injuries and few opportunities, Lucas Vázquez went practically unnoticed.
Initially, the intention of the player, a Madrid academy product, will not be to leave the Bernabeu, but the course of the preseason (which already has a defined schedule) will decide the future of the 28-year-old winger, who would arrive at Parc des Princes in exchange for 20 million euros.
